Jim Sheets

Peaks Region president for Intermountain Health. 

Jim Sheets serves as the Peaks Region president for Intermountain Health. Jim has nearly 26 years of healthcare leadership experience, change management, strategic development, operational improvement, and positive physician relations. Most recently, Jim spent nine months serving as the group president for 10 CommonSpirit Health hospitals in Colorado and Utah.

Before his time as group president, Jim served as Intermountain Health's chief operating officer for Acute Care. He also served as CEO and administrator of LDS Hospital. Jim joined Intermountain Health in 2007. Previously, Jim held leadership positions for nearly a decade at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix and Enloe Medical Center in Chico, California.

Jim holds a Master of Health Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Utah. He is an adjunct professor in the Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah and has served on the Board of Directors for the Utah Hospital Association.
